Biwater AEWT (BAEWT) has delivered all four Reverse Osmosis Trains on time to the Santa Monica Water Treatment Plant in Los Angeles, CA. The new plant will deliver 9.28 million gallons per day (MGD) (35,130 m3/day) of high quality drinking water.

Today, 18th February 2010, Biwater (BVI) Limited won a BOOT contract with the Government of the British Virgin Islands for a sea-water desalination plant. The plant will produce 2.3 million imperial gallons of potable water per day, has a construction value of US$43 million and a subsequent 16 year operation and maintenance period.

Biwater AEWT Inc. (BAEWT) has announced, following a competitive bid, that it has been awarded a Design and Build Contract in a joint venture with CDM Constructors. Biwater AEWT will work in unison with CDM Constructors to Design and Build a new 2.0 million gallons per day (MGD) nanofiltration water treatment plant for the City of Dania Beach, Florida.

Biwater Signs Desalination BOOT Contract in the British Virgin Islands

Today, 18th February 2010, Biwater (BVI) Limited won a BOOT contract with the Government of the British Virgin Islands for a sea-water desalination plant. The plant will produce 2.3 million imperial gallons of potable water per day, has a construction value of US$43 million and a subsequent 16 year operation and maintenance period.
In addition, the contract includes the design and build of two sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, extensive pipelines and reservoirs.
The contract also includes the provision and installation of a water distribution leakage reduction programme complete with a tariff billing system.
The cost of water in Tortola will be substantially reduced by the new contract and full sewage treatment for the island will also be provided.
