Biwater AEWT (BAEWT) has delivered all four Reverse Osmosis Trains on time to the Santa Monica Water Treatment Plant in Los Angeles, CA. The new plant will deliver 9.28 million gallons per day (MGD) (35,130 m3/day) of high quality drinking water.

Today, 18th February 2010, Biwater (BVI) Limited won a BOOT contract with the Government of the British Virgin Islands for a sea-water desalination plant. The plant will produce 2.3 million imperial gallons of potable water per day, has a construction value of US$43 million and a subsequent 16 year operation and maintenance period.

Biwater AEWT and CDM Awarded Design and Build Contract with the City of Dania Beach, Florida

Biwater AEWT Inc. (BAEWT) has announced, following a competitive bid, that it has been awarded a Design and Build Contract in a joint venture with CDM Constructors. Biwater AEWT will work in unison with CDM Constructors to Design and Build a new 2.0 million gallons per day (MGD) nanofiltration water treatment plant for the City of Dania Beach, Florida.
The membrane plant will be treating water from the Biscayne Aquifer, using sand separators, cartridge filtration, acid addition and antiscalant as pre-treatment. The three stage nanofiltration membrane system will operate at 90% recovery. Post-treatment at the plant will include a degasifier scrubber, and chemical dosing systems for corrosion inhibitor, caustic, chlorine, ammonia, and fluoride addition.
The Design and Build contract is to be completed within 18 months.
