‘ North County WTP wins Best Tasting Water’
Florida

Location
Vero Beach, Florida

Project Type

Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant

Plant Capacity
12 MGD

Based on extensive knowledge and experience in Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems, Biwater AEWT (BAEWT) has been awarded another contract by the Poole and Kent Co. to expand on the North County WTP.

The North County WTP originally consisted of two pre-existing RO skids.  To meet the growing demand for clean water BAEWT expanded on the two RO skids by designing and supplying six additional RO skids, each capable of producing 1.5 million gallons per day (MGD) of permeate water.  This 9.0 MGD expansion increased the plants total capacity to 12.0 MGD.

In addition to the custom design, BAEWT also supplied 288 pressure vessels, all interconnecting piping and valves, and skid mounted sample panels.

The North County WTP was commissioned in May of 2009.  In a recent water tasting competition in Port St.Lucie, Florida, the North County WTP won first place out of nine competitors for best tasting water on the Treasure Coast.

BAEWT strives to provide the highest quality water through state-of-the-art membrane systems.

Biwater AEWT, Inc. has supplied a total plant capacity of more than   421 MGD to date.
