‘ Clewiston WTP Helps City Provide Sustainable Drinking Water’
Florida

Location
Clewiston, Florida

Project Type
Reverse Osmosis Treatment System

Plant Capacity

3.0 MGD

Biwater AEWT (BAEWT) has successfully been awarded a contract to supply the City of Clewiston with a Reverse Osmosis (RO) Treatment System.  This would be one out of many RO treatment systems BAEWT has supplied in Florida.

Prior to this Water Treatment Plant, the City purchased its drinking water from U.S. Sugar Corporation, which announced in 2003 that it would no longer supply water to the City.  In an effort to help the city obtain a sustainable drinking water supply, BAEWT designed and supplied three RO trains each with a permeate capacity of 0.925 million gallons per day (MGD) producing a total capacity of 3.0 MGD to the City.

The RO System was complete with pressure vessels, framework, membrane elements, interconnecting piping and valves, and skid mounted sample panels.

BAEWT is one of the premier manufacturers of large capacity systems for the production of high purity drinking water using state of the art membrane separations technology.

Biwater AEWT, Inc. has supplied a total plant capacity of more than   421 MGD to date.
