Biwater AEWT (BAEWT)
has successfully been awarded the contract for the design, supply, and
refurbishment of the water treatment system for the Brazos River Authority
(BRA) Surface Water And Treatment System (SWATS) 5th RO Unit
Project.
The plant is designed to demineralize raw water from LakeGranbury,
with approximately 1,150 mg/l of Total Dissolved Solids.
The plant consists of four pre-existing Reverse Osmosis
(RO) skids that BAEWT will retrofit
with new membrane elements, valves, and a custom redesigned process piping
system to allow for greater efficiency.
Each skid will have a permeate capacity of 1.5 million gallons per day
(MGD).
The new 5th RO Unit skid will be designed
and furnished complete with structural support framing, low pressure
turbocharger, pressure vessels, piping and valves, and skid mounted sampling
panels. This new RO unit will have a
permeate capacity of 1.5 MGD combined with the pre-existing units for a total plant capacity of 7.5 MGD.
The BRA SWATS 5th
RO Unit Project has taken nine months from contract signing to delivery of the
turnkey RO units which is further proof of BAEWT’s
ability to perform effectively under time constraints.
Biwater AEWT, Inc. has supplied a worldwide total plant
capacity of more than 421 MGD to date.
